Tough Love Charity Calendar

I love dogs. The plight of abandoned pups and dogs that need extra rehabilitation is something that is very near to my heart. I guess that’s why I love this calendar so much.

Available from Ask Alice, the Tough Love Charity Calendar features artwork by Agata Dudek, Angelique Houtkamp, Anna Martinez Harris, Cat Rabbit, Dieter VDO, Gemma Correll, Liam Barrett, Liam Sparkes, Matte Stephens, Rik Lee and Rona Green. The best part is 100% of the proceeds go to the Dog Rehabilitation Program which is run by RSPCA NSW. The aim of the program is to bring together shelter dogs considered unsuitable for re-homing with inmates of one of Australia’s largest prisons.

“The inmates participating in the program provide behavioural rehabilitation for the dogs so the dogs can be adopted out to caring families. Asides from rehabilitating dogs in need, the program also provides inmates with training which results in employment opportunities upon their release. Above all, the program offers dogs, inmates and officers the opportunity to work together in a positive environment for the greater good of the dogs.” – Ask Alice.

Yes, August may seem a little early for thinking about anything to do with 2013 but when it comes to Frankie diaries and calendars you can never get in too early.

“The diary this year has a beautiful dusty red jacket with weekly designs by Amy Borrell – it also has some extra goodies, like list pages, stickers, and a little pocket for you to pop your important stuff in. The calendar’s front cover has a bit of a tropicana feel and features artists and designers like Donna Wilson, Lucy Ling, The Black Apple and Ana Albero in its pages.”

Oh dear. I have a problem. I’m addicted to new diaries. I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I actually have…wait for it… four diaries for 2012. FOUR. But the experts say that the first step to conquering your addiction is to admit that you have a problem so here I am, dear readers, admitting my deep, dark secret. I LOVE diaries. There, I’ve said it. I feel better now. Winky face.

I saw this Jessica Hische diary the other day and went to purchase it – but I was wait listed! These diaries are so popular they have a waiting list, how crazy. I had to wait a few days but I purchased an extra one that I’ll be giving away on the blog in the next few weeks so stay tuned and spread the word!
