I don’t know about you guys but my weeks are speeding by so fast! I can’t believe another Tuesday has rolled around. This week I’m sharing the Instagram account of Ashley Brook Designs. I’m really drawn to her beautiful, colourful designs. Her feed makes me so happy and I’m sure she’ll brighten up your day too. Follow Ashley here.
Jen Stark is an amazing contemporary artist from Miami who creates mindblowing layered paper sculptures that explore and are inspired by patterns in nature. What I like best about Jen’s work is that even though each is an explosion of colour there is cohesiveness – each layer, each colour, in their place works to create configurations that are hypnotic. Instead of seeing chaos in the colours and patterns we see orderliness. That end is something only a skilled artist can create. Follow Jen on Instagram or check out some more of her work.
I’m feeling kinda whimsical today so I thought I’d share an Instagram account that suits my mood. Today I give you the Instagram account of a lovely young lady by the name of Violet who posts at I’m Vintage Rose. She is a planner addict (who isn’t?!) who creates amazing looking spreads/art. Her planner pics are…well…planner porn tbh and I never get sick of scrolling through her feed. Follow her on Instagram and pop over and read her blog too.
I’ve been following Jo from The Darling Tree on Instagram for years now and the one thing I love the most about her feed is her positivity. I, personally, find it hard to be positive a lot of the time but it is something that I am working hard on changing. It helps to be inspired by people, like Jo, who just exude a magical, creative spirit.
I love looking up at the stars. Over the last six months T and I have been venturing to dark, out-of-the-way places to get a better view of the universe. If you haven’t seen the stars for a while you should pop outside on a cloudless night and look up. It’s a truly humbling sight.
Being the space nerd that I am it should come as no surprise that I seriously LOVE the Instagram account of German artist David Ambarzumjan. He creates the most mind blowing illustrations of the cosmos and is definitely an artist to watch. (Oh and check out his store too)
As a planner nerd I love spending time making my planners look nice. While I have more than enough stickers, I don’t have any planner charms. Which brings me to this week’s Instagrammer. Kay, who runs the Instagram account Bits to Pieces showcases some of the sweetest charms that I’ve seen on the interwebs.
Hop over to Bits to Pieces and prepare to be wowed.
It’s time for some prettiness! Today’s Instagrammer is Maricris Emma Mende also known as PaperPanduh. Her feed is always full of beautiful pics of planner supplies, washi and her Panduh kits and boxes. So bright, fun and inspiring.
Bianca Jagoe is an illustrator and zine creator from Launceston, Tasmania. Her feed is full of colour and happy, smiling faces. I am especially fond of her studio wall which is decorated with discarded shopping lists. So awesome.
I’ve been following Marryl on Instagram for a while now. I think I first came across one of her gorgeous journal pages on Pinterest and I was hooked. I am so in awe of anyone who can create journal pages that have substance – you know, text and pretty pictures. I can do words no problem, it’s the pictures that I fail at.
If you are in need of some journal inspo follow Marryl.
