Woohoo more paper goodies!
I bookmarked Love & Reason’s Etsy store a few weeks ago because I had spied her lovely muted blue postcards on Pinterest (I think). I just had a look through the rest of the shop and I’m lucky I was able to leave the page before I stuffed my shopping cart full of stuff. So good! Kate’s focus appears to be block prints which is a look I love – nice and distressed (just like me). Here are a few of my faves.

You know I love diaries, right? Out of all things stationery they could be my very favourite things. I did my first diary rundown over at the Paper Runway blog. Trust me, there will be another one or two of these posts before the new year rolls around.
Check it out.
I am pretty much in love with these. Frazier & Wing is a Portland, OR (see! again with Portland!) based studio that makes the prettiest paper mobiles that I’ve come across. They cascade beautifully and the colours that Heather (the lady behind the prettiness) uses are just perfect. I would love to hang one in my office one day. Just looking at it would make me happy.

A pack of 20 “Little Garden” mini letterpress cards would come in really handy as a teeny tiny little thank you card or an accompaniment to a bottle of wine or some choccy’s. Very sweet indeed.
Available from: Upon A Fold
I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it. Portland (OR) is a serious hotbed for creative stationery folk. There must be something in the water over there!
I spied these GORGEOUS cards yesterday on Swiss Miss. Aren’t they adorable? They were created by Portland based illustrator and artist Mary Kate McDevitt and she is selling them in packets of 8 in her Etsy shop. While you’re there have a look at some of the hand lettered posters that she has designed. I want this one!
Bespoke is one of my very favourite new zines. Produced by the lovely Jessica Van Den, it’s full of stories, interviews, tutorials, recipes and heaps more. If you’re a lover of all things vintage/crafty/handmade/arty you’ll love it too.
Would you like to win a copy of Issue 4? Just leave a comment below and I’ll select someone at random next Wednesday 19th October. Yay! (This competition is open to readers anywhere in the world!)
Update: WINNER! Congratulations to Cate Elliott. A copy of Bespoke 4 will be winging its way to you. Stay tuned for lots more giveaways!

A few weeks ago I had the good fortune to be able to ask the lovely Angela Mitchell from Mitchell & Dent some questions about their gorgeous wedding stationery range. I am such a M&D groupie, it’s a little embarrassing! 😀
Head on over to the Paper Runway guest blog (where I guest post every fortnight) to read the full interview.

Oh I love new diaries! 365 days worth of blank pages make me want to start the new year NOW! Yes, I know that we’re still a couple of months away from January 1st but I’ve learnt the hard way – it’s better to get your diary early than miss out on the one you want.
My trusty old Filofax Metropol will be shelved in 2012 in favour of a brand new red Moleskine that I got from the lovely folks at Nation State.
I’ve had Moleskine diaries in the past and there are a few features that I love. This Large Daily has plenty of space to write notes, which is something I do a lot of. In other diaries there is hardly enough room to write down appointments or a to-do list. Not so with this particular Moleskine. With a day to a page there is plenty of room.
The Moleskine also has a nice hard cover. It feels really solid and can withstand a little tough love. The cover doesn’t get tatty either, which is great. I’ve still got perfect looking Moleskine’s from 2006. They last.
And finally, I’m a big fan of the expandable pocket that is attached to the back cover. It’s the perfect spot for random ephemera like ticket stubs, photos and little notes that you collect over the course of the year.
The only downside is that it’s only October 5th and I have to wait aaaagggeees to use my new little beauty!
A special offer for you!
Nation State has given Pretty Paper Things readers 10% off all orders placed in the next week (valid until October 11). So get in quick and grab a diary (or any of their other goodies)! Use the code “PRETTYPAPERTHINGS” at the checkout.
Disclosure: I was lucky enough to receive this diary for free from Nation State. Having said that, I would have gladly paid for it. Love, love, love my new Moleskine!
Yikes! Sorry for the unscheduled hiatus. I was hit with another bout of the ‘flu’. I’ve had it twice in the past month and a half and it just floored me. I’m back though thank goodness! I’ve got lots and lots of links (and a few special giveaways) planned for the next few weeks so don’t go anywhere.
To break my blogging drought I wanted to share a few Etsy stores that I discovered recently.
In-Haus Press – this San Fransisco studio creates everything from coasters to prints. Lots of special things to be found here.
Cutiepie Company – I love snail mail! This shop features heaps of cute cards, envelopes and other mail related goodies!
Knot & Bow would have to be one of my favourite Etsy stores. Everything they stock looks amazing. From the packets of glassine bags to the foil seals and stickers. I get so inspired looking at their stuff! I hope you do too.

I have literally been coveting Sharilyn’s Address File for years and years. It’s been something that I’ve had on my ‘to buy’ list for ages (and whoa that list is looong). I just saw that she is giving one of these beauties away! You need to get in quick though – the competition closes today, the 21st September. Quick! Quick!
