Bring on the sunshiny days of spring! Doesn’t this print by Kelly Ventura make you pine for summertime? (Well not my northern hemisphere friends, you’ve had your summer fun!)

I can’t remember where I first came across Brian Dettmer’s work but the images of his amazingly detailed book sculptures have stayed with me. I admire artists like Brian so much. He sees unlimited potential in books. He sees past their function.
“The richness and depth of the book is universally respected yet often undiscovered as the monopoly of the form and relevance of the information fades over time. The book’s intended function has decreased and the form remains linear in a non-linear world,” says Brian. “By altering physical forms of information and shifting preconceived functions, new and unexpected roles emerge. This is the area I currently operate in. Through meticulous excavation or concise alteration I edit or dissect communicative objects or systems such as books, maps, tapes and other media. The medium’s role transforms. Its content is recontextualized and new meanings or interpretations emerge.”
Because sometimes you just need so cute deer art, isn’t that right Oana Befort?
Paper artists sure are clever, don’t you think?
This print by Arsenal Handicraft is awesome. By day you can see a mountaineer making his way up a rocky bluff. By night the print lights up, revealing the happy camper safely tucked in a tend on a plateau. So freaking cool
Just a couple of #truthbombs from Such Sweet Tierney to get you through hump day.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen any art that is more beautiful than these diamonds by South African artist Kurt Pio. They are breathtaking and I want them all.
Single Ladies poster by Draw Me a Song
Because sometimes you just *need* an illustrated account of the Single Ladies dance, right?
Croatian artist Mateja Kovač really knows how to beautifully capture simple, every day moments. She is definitely my favourite new artist.
It’s a beautiful, rainy day here in Perth. We don’t have a lot of rainy days so when they happen I make sure to really soak in as much wet weather awesomeness as possible.
While these prints from Yao Cheng aren’t about rainy days they have a kind of melancholic-winter’s day feel don’t you think?
