Aren’t these cards and prints by Afsaneh Tajvidi’s JooJoo Paper simply beautiful? The illustrations are stunning, especially the florals. Here’s what she says about her inspiration – “I am a big believer in finding joy in simple pleasures of life and sharing them with others. It can be as simple as finding a pretty autumn leaf on the ground or trying a new fruit for the first time. I love to create the kind of art that celebrates these joyful little things.”
My Dad is pretty awesome. Whenever I need him he is there to help me through life’s little tests and obstacles. I know I’m very lucky to have a Dad like him.
Father’s Day is just around the corner (Sunday September 3 in Australia) so if you’re celebrating the day with a Dad or a Dad-like person here are a few of my favourite Father’s Day cards.
Every day I get a lot of email from designers, stationery creators and artists telling me about their pretty pieces. Some, I write down to peruse later but the email I received from The Adventures Of recently got my attention immediately. Why was this email different? Three words for you – rose. gold. foil. I’m obsessed with it and I know I’m not the only one.
Amanda and Benjamin – you’ve got me hooked.
OK, so Father’s Day has really crept up on me this year. Last night I realised that it’s just over two weeks away! Has it crept up on you too? Here in Australia we celebrate the big day on the first Sunday in September. My family always celebrate by heading to this beautiful spot for a barbeque breakfast and a walk through the bush. How do you celebrate Father’s Day?
It’s not too late to get your hands on a cool, creative card for Dad. Here’s a few of my favourites.
Able & Game // The Curious Cactus // Beccy Kitty Designs // Milk and Cookies // WNK The Shop // Old English Co // The Think Tree // Cheerio Paper Co
Mother’s Day is approaching fast – it’s May 8th this year. I love these cheeky cards by Wit & Whistle. I must admit I’ve never seen an enamel uterus pin so, hey, that’s pretty cool. If you’re not into cheeky Wit & Whistle have some very pretty floral cards too. Which is your favourite?

I am smitten by these cards from Felicity French. Her illustrations are all so magical and bright and full of happy thoughts and messages.
Not only is she a card and print designer extraordinaire, but she also illustrates children’s books and colouring-in books. How awesome!
Here are some of my favourite designs by Felicity. Be sure to visit her website to see more loveliness.
I am enamoured by foil. It gives cards and prints an extra pop of sophistication. I love the work of Blushing Confetti – they do foil perfectly don’t you think?
Time to eat cake & drink wine from the bottle
I spied these lovely goodies by Melbourne-based Tell Them Stories and they immediately caught my eye with their geometric patterns and colours. I am especially keen on the Japanese bound notebook I’ve featured below (Fire) – so, so pretty.
Congratulations Wedding/Engagement card

I really like these postcards from Cabin Supply Co. They’re the visual equivalent to a big, deep breath of country air. These postcards serve as a reminder that there is, in fact, a world that exists beyond the computer screen. And gee, that world looks pretty (and green).
