I was really struck by the work of Nicola Rowlands when I first saw it. It has a simple innocence that is so…I don’t know…visually appealing? It kind of reminds me of kids’ drawings – unpretentious and easy on the eyes. Casual but yet detailed. Whatever it was that attracted me, I’m glad that it did.
