Paper Runway

Have you noticed that there are a lot of really cool e-Mag’s launching lately? One that relates specifically to paper lovers is Paper Runway. It’s released quarterly and is all about “paper goodness, hot paper products, fabulous features, beautiful paper, party inspirations, features about the hottest paper sculptors, artists, illustrators, creators and quick DIY projects“. The first issue was released just recently and it’s a must-read for paper lovers. I especially loved the feature they did on Elsie Larson’s engagement and wedding ephemera (so cute!). Check out the mag if you have a chance – it’s a great read.

(I just discovered, you can also buy paper copies, delivered straight to your door!)

Greetings from Portland

I have a thing for Portland, Oregon. I think it’s related to my Elliott Smith obsession. Or perhaps it’s because I have such fond memories of the Pacific Northwest from my time living in Vancouver. Anyway, I’ve started collecting postcards and artwork from Oregon-based artists and these little beauties are on my to-buy list. The artist is Agnes Barton-Sabo and her store is Betty Turbo. You can check out the cards, and some of her other sweet illustrations, here.

Kikki.K – Workspaces

Kikki.K Workspaces
Kikki.K just released a new online catalogue that shows several cute workspaces and all the bits and pieces you need to put them all together. I’m such a fan of Kikki.K and it’s now incredibly dangerous that they’ve opened up a store so close to me! If I had to choose, I’d say that I’m a fan of the Professional look. What about you?

Kikki.K is running a competition where you can win a $200 gift voucher to put towards redesigning your workspace. Check out their blog for more info!

Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day to my Mum and to all the other Mums out there. We just got back from a brunch over at the folks’ place which was a lovely way to start a Sunday.

Now, I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it here on the blog before but I’m a big fan of Rifle Paper Co. They are a husband and wife team over in Florida who make the most gorgeous stationery. Thankfully for me, Mother’s Day gave me a great opportunity to buy one of their beautifully illustrated Mother’s Day cards – I’ve had my eye on it for a while and loved it immediately. I just adore the typography and the retro-esque feel. I also purchased some note cards to add to my ever growing stash (thankfully I have a few more pen pals this year so I’ll use them all up for sure).
